Timothy B. Stawicki is the 2005-2006 Robert P. Balles University of Notre Dame Mathematics Scholar; Timothy is a senior math major who is especially interested in

actuarial science.

Timothy and the Mathematics Department express their deep gratitude to Robert B. Balles for supporting this award. He is a lifelong student of mathematics with more than 30 years of teaching experience, who has established a prize of $1,000 to be given each Fall to the senior math major with the highest cumulative grade point average in math courses completed at Notre Dame.
